I saw him in concert with a buddy for free and it was a really good show!!! He is a great performer and his music is always changing. I think that is what I like about him the most!!!!

I think Kanye West is a musical genius--but like many other musical geniuses, he's all over the friggin' board, musically.

This particular song--and entire album, for that matter--is really sparse and simplistic musically in comparison to most of his previous work...and oh yeah and, of course, he's singing (albeit heavily processed with Antares Auto-Tune) which is a big change.

So while I'm still up in the air about this album--I don't think it's really "sunk in" for me, yet--I do at least appreciate what Mr. West is doing right now with his musical direction.

good song. I love this old school Zapp & Roger sound. But hip hop music now a days is crap IMO. I mostly listen to chicano rap and oldies remakes because it sounds old school.

His new CD 808s & Heartbreaks is awesome once you get through it 2-3 times. I liked it from square one but after multiple plays it's all that's rockin' right now... well that and Lil' Wayne's new CD.

Kanye let his ego (which is friggin' EPIC) get the best of him the past few years, but he seems to have really pulled the reins back on the ego shit since his mom died.

Think about this: his first 3 albums were all full of braggadocio, but this one is very introspective and not particularly boastful by any standards, much less Kanye standards.

I'm liking it more and more as I continue to listen to it, but I still can't say that I *LOVE* the album like I can with some of his past work.

2) a great musician is humble and doesnt let the fame get to him. for example the band cowboy mouth. great band great music and very humble. Ive met them and my sisters friend from high school is their merchandise manager. She hangs with them when they are intown and seem to be some really down to earth guys and girls

I DO NOT LIKE HIP HOP. I do, however, love music and respect talent. In 30 years we'll look back on this time with this man and think of what it was like to witness genius in it's musical prime. I'll listen to a Kanye song just because I know it will be unlike anything else I've ever imagined. Like this; singing in Hip Hop...
