keep the cellophane on a stored stick?

inspired by the poll i just read, about cutting your cigar in the cello, i would like to know how many brothers actually keep their cigars in the cello.

i take off the cello as soon as they go into the humi... is this good? bad? does it matter? i figure it would be better if they could breath.
