  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I've always jokingly said that if there was ever an "end of the world as we know it, SHTF" situation, I'm getting a posse together and taking over the local Walmart. It's perfect. Limited entrances to defend, high vantage points from the roof to fend off advances, food, water, clothing, medicine, even some guns and ammo. A small group could hole up in there for a good while.

The "Fort Walmart" idea is a little scary. I mean, they only carry Garcia Y Vega and Swisher Sweets for God's sake!


There was a movie a few years back called Where the Heart Is. A chick is abandoned by her boyfriend at a Walmart and lives there for weeks. Yes it's a chick flick, but married guy's still like to get laid too...
