La Flor de Oliva Lance

I just finished smoking a La Flor de Oliva Lancero for the first time. What a great smoke! It started off with pre-light sweetness and a little spice on the tongue. I lit up the cigar and the first third was awesome, full of red pepper with some sugary sweetness under the pepper.

Great cigar made better by the price!

Uncelnino gave me one not too long ago... I lit it up & was impressed enough to buy a bundle... The wife likes them too! Great, economic stick.

(Though I could do without the added 'sweetness'.)

The couple I have been able to smoke with 3 years (via a friend) is so fruity in the first half inch that you would think its flavored... after that, it mellows into a well rounded stick.

Flor de Oliva has been one of my long time daily standards. Did not know they made a lancero! Will def have to check on that.

I'm a huge fan of the lancero...it's a 7x38 with a lightly sweetened tip on a Sumatra wrapper. Don't worry about the sweetness; it goes away in seconds.

The regular corona is also a favorite of mine, a 5.75x43 and there's also a lonsdale 6.5x44 too.

I don't personally like the Golds, and the Corojos are alright if I'm in the mood. The Maduros don't always do it for me; they're okay, but I always expect so much more out of them than they deliver, flavor-wise.

The regular always just hits the spot for me; your mileage may vary.
