Laptop shopping for work

A tip for ANYONE buying a laptop. First thing you do after switching it on? DOUBLE CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE SPECIFIED HARDWARE IS INCLUDED!!!!

I went to install Office last night on the laptop only to find that the laptop had a 60 Gig instead of 120 Gig hard drive! WTF?!?!:tazerblas

Called up the local BestBuy where I bought it and thankfully there were no issues. I just need to take it in to the Geek Squad and they will swap the HD out for a 120Gig.

Still pissed me off. If it had been my Mom, or maybe even my wife, they probably never would have realized it.

Damn, they are probably making a killing with that...if it was intentional that is. :innocent:

Make sure you check EVERYTHING else to make sure it is as advertised.

Wow. Never heard of that happening. I think Id be fairly pissed and suggest strongly that a bigger upgrade is called for since I had to return to the store. I know our local DA would be in the store levying a huge fine in a split second on something like this.

Dang, thought I posted that somewhere. Yeah, I ended up with a Toshiba with a faster processor and larger HD for the same cost. Great customer service from BestBuy.
