Las Calaveras, LC46
Prelight draw yields slight honey sweetness, some spice and hint of red pepper, and a mint/eucalyptus
Perfect draw with slight resistance.
Smells like hay, cut grass,
Wrapper is a medium dark brown with some visible veins, a couple visible bumps and one toothpick sized hole mid way that does not appear to affect the binder.

1st 3rd
Some Red and Black pepper on the throat and retrohale. Sweet tobacco and some hay flavors coming through.
Switches to more nutty and earthy flavors. Some woody notes around an inch through. Burn is perfect, tight white and grey ash. Almost no tooth. Getting a hint of sweetness on the palate and retrohale. I don't want to call it sour, but I'm getting something like a faint goat cheese flavor hitting mid palate here and there. Then again I am having an IPA with this.
I do get a creamy characteristic but it's not pronounced.
Ash dropped around 1-1/2" and a slight cream cones in.
2nd 3rd
I'm now getting much more spice, cream, woody notes and overall depth. Thank goodness! I was a little worried. Getting a charred wood and black pepper spice. Some savory and chewy notes come in. I'm salivating heavily so not sure if I'm getting salty or that's just Saliva. Cream/spice and pepper/earth trade back and forth with sweetness mixed in. It has nice flavor transitions and complexity here.

Into the final 3rd I get cream, some tar, some spice, and a deeper savory flavor. It's not just the saliva. Some nuttiness still remains. Burn is still putting on a show, it is essentially perfect. None of the cheese notes remain. It's now toasty, creamy, and earthy with very slight pepper.
Pepper fades entirely and I get slight cream and woody notes till the nub. Burn remains flawless.

Overall medium body, and medium+ strength.
I find this to be a good cigar. My opinion is that it will come about with some age, but I'm not experienced enough to know that for sure. I just got a sense of slightly unbalance flavors. It started off meh, and by the 2nd third was complex and tasty, then ended much more balanced and well rounded.
These arrived Monday and were in my wineador until Wednesday before I tried one, so essentially ROTT.
This is my first review and I'm a noob, so bear those things in mind when you read this.
