  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Since this day only comes around only every four years, I think I might have to smoke something worthy of such an occasion. I'm not sure what I'm going to have yet but I'll let you know when I figure it out.

So what are you having?

Someone gifted me a punch punch from 2000 that oughta be about prime right now. i may need to give that one a try. Or maybe one of the god of fires i have...been wanting to try one of those for a while now.

i suppose it will depend upon how much time i have once the kid goes to bed. there's a good chance i'll end up with a af short story in my hand. Got a few in a trade and have been wanting to try one for a few years now.

It never occurred to me to have something special.:dunno: Anyway, I started with a new bundle cigar that Holt's just started carrying and that they gave me for comment: El Capitan. BTW, it's a very nice maduro smoke for a cheap bundle cigar. No pepper, very smooth and flavorful.

I followed that with a Holt's Connoisseur (Don Pepin) torpedo, which I'm smoking right now. Next on deck is a candela Fuente 8-5-8, for a change of pace.

You know, I hadn't thought about this at all. I was planning on having a (or more) smoke tonight as tonight starts my bachelor weekend (wife's away, smoke will play), but I wasn't really thinking along the lines of something special. I have a number of fairly rare cigars that have been sitting for some time...I think this might be just the time to have one...

Today I burned off a Hoyo De Monterrey Dark Sumatra Espresso for lunch, then tonight in the middle of Gin/Tonic I sparked up a DPG Black Figurado. I wasn't thinking of it being a leap year, maybe I would have pulled out something a little more on the special side.
