  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Couldn't see a damn thing. Clear sky, but light polution or too low on the horizon like Terrasco said. Dragged a bunch of neighbors out to the park around the corner for it too. OH well.

As a HAM we use these for Meteor Scatter.. (OK, I'll Splain)
You shoot a CW (Morse Code) signal at the Shower, and you may get a VERY weak station coming back, but this is VERY fast type stuff as you might guess. Kinda Exciting when you hear this and know your bouncing a signal off a Meteor. Also Moon Bounce is along the same lines..

OK, so I added something LESS interesting to some, but it IS EDUCATIONAL and this is good, Right?

Bonghits. That's what we used to do during the Leonids.

We were bouncing too.

By the way, it was cloudy here during the most recent shower, as most of the East Coast was, maybe the Geminids will be visible in December.
