  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Wow, looks like 2 of our packages arrived at the same time! Here's the response from Troop Pack #3, posted on the cigarbid.com boards where I first met this BOTL. Here's the link to his post if you prefer:

Some of you may not know this, but a while back, Njstone and I took it upon ourselves to do a Noob to Noob trade. After he recieved my end of the trade, he let me know he sent his end out to my Home (since I'm going home) But, he also sent a troop bomb for my guys here.(In Baghdad) I was expecting a small package, nothing more... what he sent was AMAZING!!!

There were easliy over 200 cigars, (2 Bags full and 3 tupperdors full- INSANE) He also included a bunch of Coffee, some Rice Crispies Treats, (which are always a hit) Cutters, and a Few Inpirational Books. (Pocket Guides of the Good Book) Nate, not only do I thank you, I want you to know how my guys tore through the box like it was early Christmas or something. Everyone found something they liked! Things like this do great things to give us a morale boost, it is just amazing what it does to people, and see the smiles on their faces. Not only that, my Wife informed me that I have a package waiting at home with about 20 smokes as well. Once again, thank you to a fine BOTL, I really hope I get to meet you one day. You truly went above and beyond what you even needed to, and it is greatly appreciated!!!

I would have liked to get a picture, but we cannot post anymore here- some new thing. I will never in my life forget this, Nate! God Bless You, and all the fine B/SOTL that support us troops!! We Love You!

That's great to hear. I can't imagine what it's like to fight in an unpopular war in an inhospitable place so far from home, so I'm glad these care packages are providing some cheer for these troops who are sacrificing on behalf of all of us.
