  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I am about to do a review on a DuPont Mini and my first impressions did not live up to the hype. Maxi might be better, but the mini seems pricy for a made in China single torch with no frills at a list price of $160 and $100ish if you hunt around. It is a nice lighter, only referring to overall value.
Not done with the lighter yet, again my initial impressions.
My mini works great every single time. Maxi not so much but I did put in non DuPont fuel one timer in it

Absolutely, no issue firing up every time. Like I said, it is no doubt nice.

Just finished my review. If you want the lighter I will sell it to you under $100 ;-) It would be the exact one, brand new beyond review use. It is still BNIB Mint condition. Think twice....LOL.

Going to check out your review, might be interested int he lighter.

Althought I keep going back to my ronson. It was just outside for 2 days and a pretty bad rain storm, I brought it in this morning and it fired right up.

^^^^ this ^^^^

I am a sucker for "nice" lighters and torches... Ive got a drawer full of XiKar, Bugatti, etc..etc..

and yet.. 9 out of 10 times.. I reach for one of my ronsons..

Not really sure why.. I just do...

Ive left them outside for days at a time.. put nothing but crap fuel in them (ronson for the most part).. and they just keep working..

Ill probably buy a couple of more "nice" torches this year.. like I said.. Im a sucker for them.. If I see a good deal/something on sale.. Its hard not to bite...

but... Im betting the ronsons still see most of the action...

I am too bro. I almost bought the ST Dupont Tatuaje JV13 lighter. But at $290 at the B&M I just had to look at it and pass it up. Good to know you like lighters though....

drawer full of misspent money... they never get used... a total waste....

your money would be much better spent on sending bombs to Joel.. Joel is torch deficient..

Those ronson soft flames you bombed me with last year are my go to pipe lighters.. I still have all three of them.. and use them frequently.. they are absolutely awesome (and I need no more of them.. I have 3!... but.. I am betting Joel would love to try one out! :) )...

I Love my Ronson Jet Lite! Especially after the Modification so that you can turn the flame up. I've had mine for almost 2 years with no problems at all. Not bad for a $5 lighter! :) it leave more money for smokes

Are those easily found in places like CVS? Or is there an online source? The free Montecristo lighter I got seems to have malfunctioned now and I would love a cheap replacement. $5 is no big deal.
