I've said this before - but this is just a reminder. I'll be breaking BOTL over time in order to get it into a far better place. Just be patient if you can't reach us! We'll be back
My best lighter so far has been a freebie from JR Cigars about 2 years ago. Only problem was I lost it. My Ronson last for 3 months and dies.......Or it gets taken at the airport......
My tried and true like AngryBill is the S.T. Dupont Xtend. Never failed, only in high altitude has issues like all torches do. I also have several $4 Ronson torches for the car, around the house, in the office. If the Ronson goes bad I toss them. Only one went bad in 3 years. Ronson are great value, the Dupont are great lighters.
I've got three cheapie single flame torch lighters, all of them working great and each came as a freebie with purchases. I guess the best answer to which lighter to buy is "none of them".
As most have already said, you could try adjusting the flame. I've had similar issues in the past and just had to buy the bullet and pick up something a little more high end. Try something like a xikar or lotus.
