Local Blends You Love

As the FDA continues to channel the evil of 100 levels of hell, robbing us of our small pleasures, I want your opinion on local and/or smaller blends that simply won't be around much longer.

@kcmontie posted Northwoods and I know that is on my list, as is Exotique Mixture from Smoker's Haven and HU Tobacco. Need some LJ Peretti as well, but I can surf through reviews of those.

Can you please take a moment to list what you consider must have blends that you fear the FDA will destroy?

As far as I know, per Boswell's website the blends are pre-2007 so you should be ok with Northwoods sticking around.

Exotique is safe as it was pre-2007. I would encourage you to grab some Watch City blends like Ahab's Comfort, #556, Watch City Slices, etc. All those are good blends by a small blender and on the chopping block.
While you're ordering from Watch City, grab some Persian Slipper too (I think it is pre 2007) Its good.

PS- Perretti's is old as shit- their blends should be good (pre 2007) but take a look and see

I just made an order with Watch City last night and Ernie responded back this morning with an email about my order and in it he encouraged me to stock up before December. I missed him by phone today but will try to catch him in the shop tomorrow. I will get the low down on which blends will be axed and pass on the info.

I just got 8 2oz samples from LJ Peretti cant wait to try them, they smell great.

If you haven't tried pipeworks and wilke- you should. Try their #400 or grab a sampler with #400. Great English. Their blends are old but give them a try-Great place.

This was the answer I got from Watch City Cigar regarding which baccys were on the chopping block.

ALL the blends are on the block. Many are before 2007, but the incremental user fees and costly registration as a manufacturer combined with actually getting a Tobacco Producer's number is way out of our budget.

This is on top of the post 2007 blend submissions for review. These blenders will all be going away, very shortly. This is a terrible time to be getting into small batch baccy. My advice would be find things you like that are from major blenders and pre 2007 ... and be prepared to pay $50 a pound more in taxes soon as well.

I feel alot of pressure to at least try these blends (and support these guys). I dont have to stock away pounds of it, but i would like to at least be able to taste what they worked so hard to produce over the years.

I ordered from Boswell and Smokers Haven this week, so maybe Peretti, Watch City and Country Squire after that. I got some Just For Him as well. Best I can do at the moment

I need some advice as in my move to Tenn. from Fl. Somewhere, somehow, my pipes, pipe holder, tobacco jar and all accessories were all in 1 box.

Key word is " were " as we've unpacked and never even thought of my pipes, now that it's getting cold in Tenn. I decided it's time to start up the pipes.

I'm sure you know the problem, I can't, wife can't find them anywhere. There are no boxes left unpacked.

Thus can anyone recommend a good online pipe site as I was set. Pipewise just needed tobacco.
Thus any advice of a quantity pipe shop online would be most helpful.
Remember @Xingapo we talked about pipes months ago.
I take it the @Xingapo doesn't work on Tappy thingy?
I'm going to have to build up from nada, thus preferably a site that has quality pipes in the $50.00 $75.09 range , I'll probably go higher but need a start of three pipes for now.

Smokingpipes.com is great, pipesandcigars.com (not the best but they're ok), tobaccopipes.com also I've shopped from on-line.
