Looking for the Quintessential English Blend

Currently, I am on the prowl for the best example of an English blend of pipe tobacco.

What should I be looking for?
What blend to you suggest?
And, what is the difference between an English blend and a Balkin blend???

Someone suggested Ashton Artisan's Blend. I love it, but to me it tastes like a Balkin.
