Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Not "gamey" at all. In fact I don't get the gamey thing. I believe that Americans are just so used to eating bland food that anything with flavor unlike beef or chicken is gamey. Sorry not directed at you Fourtotheflush just a quick vent.Also, Ive never had dove. Whats it like? Taste like chicken?
Here is a hint. Microwave your bacon for a few minutes and let it cool/drain BEFORE you wrap the bird in it. If you don't you end up grilling the birds for WAY to long because you are trying to get raw bacon cooked to edible state. Unfortunately, when you do this you completely overcook the bird and end up with an unpleasant dish instead of med rare goodness and done bacon. This trick works with duck, geese, and dove equally well. :thumbsup:Bacon wrapped!! Great idea, I'll be using this later in the year. Looks amazing
