He's a choke and can't win the big one in my opinion, and I know of what I speak being a Bronco fan all my life.
His decisions in this years playoff game against New England, cost them that game.

not sure who's left that'll replace him! it'll be interesting! most of San Diego is pretty pissed!!

However, he's a classy guy and his teams are respected.

Sure, you could make the case that he's choked, you could say that about several well-respected coaches who've never won the Superbowl: Marv Levy, Dan Reeves, Andy Reid, Jeff Fisher. One thing's for certain: These guys run well-disciplined football teams, and sometimes a little luck is all you need to win (ask Parcells) and suddenly you're the greatest.

Marty was not lucky. His teams made it to several championship games.

If Ernest Byner doesn't fumble, he's in the Superbowl.

Same thing against New England. If Troy Brown doesn't get the strip, game over.

Look, there is no denying that there is a little luck involved with winning football games.

I think Marty was on the other side of the luck-coin, so to speak.

Call me an optimist, but I think that eventually he would win.

In fact, this team he had was probably one of the most solid and YOUNG teams he's ever had. If ever there were a circumstance where Marty might finally win the Big One, this was it.

I'd have kept him for another few years.

HE WAS 14-2 for crying out loud!!!

Just to clarify.....I know he is a good coach and I even like him BUT.........the best way to put it is, the NFL is full of good coaches just like the cemetery is full of nice guys.:headroll:

Yeah, but Schottenheimer will be buried at the equivalent of NFL-Arlington.

True, but what the hell do they know?

Players still have to play and that cornerback (whose name eludes me) should never have intercepted that ball (he could have knocked it down) much less get stripped (he could've taken a knee).

This is bad luck for Marty.
