  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I had some awesome ribs yesterday and I think we're having preseasoned beef and chicken fajitas today. We picked them up at an HEB while in Texas. May'be some Texas guys will know what fajitas I'm talking about.

MMM fajitas. CVM I know this sounds weird but fry up a little bacon and put that bacon grease over the chicken. Eat the bacon in the fajitas. I figured this out by accident and it's awesome.

PS: scratch the whiskey cream sauce (out of whiskey and dont feel like driving 15 miles to the state store). New York Strips with a balsamic vinegar reduction. That's the easiest and tasiest steak sauce. 1/2 cup balasmic vinegar 2 tbsp of sugar...reduce until a syrup. Sweet and sour steak sauce...mmm.

I know exactly which fajitas you are talking about. Them are good eating. We eat them all the time and HEB runs them on sale a lot.

It's a grocery store, but geared more towards the Latino crowd, IMHO.

Oh and we caught the beef or chicken on sale, the beef was about $2.29 a pound and the chicken was marked wrong to $.99 cents a pound :stretchgr Needless to say we brought about 4 packs of each back with us :help:

I love Naan. The best I had ever eaten was filled with a little coconut and cherry. It terrific with the chicken korma. I've been telling myself that I have to learn how to make that stuff.

We celebrated my father in law's 80th birthday over the weekend.
We had people from 6 different states stay the weekend at the lake. Plenty of food, fun and story telling. I think I got heat stroke. Grilling in 90 degree heat took it's toll.

Well I went with some friends to our FLCS (Friendly Local Cigar Store) and had some dogs and home made baked beans and then I ended up going over to a buddies house and making about 2 plates of ribs.
