  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Saturday might be a Hemi Masterpeice. Opus X Reserva d'Chateau will be Sunday's victim. And Monday for the grand finale... a Trinidad me thinks.

Going to the Palm Steak house in SanAntonio to herf it up with botl'ers, Cw'ers, and Cs'ers. Then going to the blue star brew pub on Sat to herf it up again the the "all Texas Herf". Sunday herf will be @ Cigar Club with more Texans. Then on Monday going to Steinheimers lounge to herf it up and drink way to much all over again again.

By Tuesday my tongue (sp?) should be about ready to fall off.

Firehouse Friday after work thru Saturday afternoon. Saturday evening and most of the day Sunday need to open the pool for the season. Cook on the charcoal grill at least once should be a law this weekend. That will keep me busy. Probably some additional yard work. Smoke something good, not sure yet. Still digging outta some rubble created by Tobby4 and Kirscovitch.

Hmmm, I'll be in London with the wife visiting the LCdH and having lunch with TonyH.
Bastage ....

I'm sure you'll have a great time though.

I'll be staying local ... cook some BBQ ... maybe take a drive to the beach if it warms up a bit.

The Wife® will soon be working in a brand-spankin' new hair salon and I've been serving as a graphic design consultant for the venture. I've designed the logo, signage, business cards, promotional materials, etc. I'll be tying up some of that work this weekend and I'll also be installing cabinets and countertops in the shop.

Grill-wise, I'll be serving up a spicy flank steak with chimichuri. If I have time, I hope to steal some time for a little flyfishing or photography.

I also plan to spend a couple of hours with a dram or two of Laphroig single malt and a Trinidad, while remembering the service and sacrifice of friends and comrades-in-arms who are in far off places or are no longer with us.

Last nite I smoked a very nice cigar. My friend makes it hands it to me a lot of the times I don't ask what it is, I just smoke it. The cigar was unfinished and unpressed. No wrapper. The filler was very spicy and the binder was very mild. A very good cigar and sipping Woodford Reserve along with it was quite pleasant.

I'm going to the 500 tomorrow. I wish I had the infield so I can bring a few cigars, but I'm in the bleechers. I think I can safely say that unless I walk away from the race to one of the designated smoking areas I won't be smoking anything at the race.
