Going to go for a Medium 65 RH stainless steel heartfelt humidifier for the above the trays and a large 65% RH heartfelt humidity tube for below the trays.

Hopefully this works.

It should no worries. I'd start off charging one and putting the second one in dry and then wait a week and keep an eye on your RH. Once it gets down to 65 look at the beads and see how many are clear vs white. The more clear you have the more humidity they are absorbing. The dry pack will give you a good idea of how much is getting sucked up.

Out of curiosity if I used this

In my xikar rectangle humidifiers wouldn't this work in the same manner as beads?

And I could jst switch the solution to the 65% RH one instead of 70?

I live in Orlando and my house gets up to 84* during the day. So if anyone should be having RH problems it should be me. When its 84* in the house and the ac hasnt been on in 5 hours the rh is easily over 80%. I have a wine cooler with about 1.5 pounds of pearls KL and my RH stays at 66% all the time.

Ok I'm glad KL works for you, Miami and Orlando really not that different temp/humidity wise. But does my previous post work similar to bead solution? Or do I need to purchase an entirely new beaded system or potentially go the KL route?

No. The pg solution tries to, somehow, stop humidifying when the rh gets to 70 but it will not absorb excess and its not reliable or accurate. The only advantage to this over water and sponge is that it does resist mold. There is no such thing as 65 pg solution.

To bring my windeador up to 66%, I used distiller water in a small Tupperware for about 2 days. I didn't apply anything to the beads directly. Then it was good to go for the next 2 months. Try it before adding too much water. Also if you find yourself with KL that is too wet, I've read that you can microwave it to dry it out. I haven't had to yet and we're only getting closer to fall so high RH shouldn't be an issue much longer.

Just ordered 2 extra large 65% RH heartfelt industry tubes one for above and one for below the trays.

I figure since needing to bring the RH down I should just put them directly into humidor without any distilled water in them and that will hopefully do the trick!

Thank you all for your help!

Finally got the heartfelt industry tubes today and tossed into standing humidor with cigars, hopefully they work to get humidity down to 65%

Here is a pic of the medium tube in top tray:

And the large tube in the space below the 2 trays:

So in the latest check, the top of the humidor reads as follows:

With the bottom of the humidor reading:

Thankfully I keep the better cigars at the bottom, which achieved the targeted 65%. With the top portion of the humidor being at 60% should I add distilled water to the heartfelt tube on top to bring that percent level up some or leave it as is. I guess I am wondering if any real down sides to having the top portion cigars at 60%. My fear is if I try adjust the humidity level on the top, it might throw everything out of wack again, which would just be a headache! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all again!
