Mixing cigars in a humidor

Plus, I have got to think that since cello is a molecular substance, there must be the possibility of a hint some transference of plastic-like aroma to the tobacco, no matter how insignifigant.

Guess I just like the organic nature of free-range stogies.

Cello isn't a petroleum based plastic. It's a mostly plant-based product that is very permeable. There are some plastics that are called 'cellophane,' but those generally aren't used in the cigar industry. So, either cellophane or no cellophane should be acceptable.

I keep a humi with a mixture of cigars, some of my everyday smokes. Then I keep padrons in another humidor and opus in a third.

No problemo. I mean, cello on or cello off is fine, although if you're wanting to rapidly alter a cigar's humidity, taking the cello off is probably the best option (but why would anyone want to rapidly alter humidity?). Personally, I like cello off, but I keep it on at least a week or two to let the cigars acclimate to the humidor a bit more gradually (and this helps me to keep from over adjusting the humiboxes I have - yes, I still have those stupid florist foam things...lol...I'll get beads when I'm less poor).

^I believe it. I'll also come across the problem of not having space to put an adequate amount of beads, which then means I need a larger humidor...which means I need more cigars to fill that humidor...lol
