  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

my daughter is getting married in may. the only good thing, besides she finally met a nice guy, is that now she'll start having some showers and get a few things she needs. the first one is going to be saturday afternoon. the only other good thing is.......I'M NOT INVITED!!! so................ i have recorded in HD, the dark knight, and i will be planted in my recliner to watch the movie for the first time with the surround sound turned up and a cigar lit! i'm thinking one of the cojo 09's, but i still have a mag 50 resting. my only concern is i don't want to get too caught up in the movie and not fully enjoy the stogie. any suggestions either on the cigar, or if you've seen the flick???:halfgrinw

Let the 09 rest yet. It's not ready.

The Mag 50 sounds good - but I doubt it will last the movie (might just have to burn a couple!)

How about a Frank? It will last & is a guaranteed fantastic smoke, just as Dark Night is a gauranteed fantastic movie!

I'd go with the Mag 50. The movie is awesome! I don't think anyone had anything bad to say about it. The special effects a sweet!

It's a great movie, and dark...so I'd smoke something strong, dark, and that I didn't have to pay too much attention to (the movie will require most of your attention).

I watch movies while smoking sometimes, and I usually end up only half paying attention to the movie, so I'd also suggest going with a smoke that won't take too much attention. The Dark Knight will suck you in and you'll want to pay attention to it.

I think watching movies and smoking probably works best when either the cigar or the movie (or both) are something you've seen or smoked before, or at least aren't too complex, so you don't feel like you have to focus so much on two new things at once. Or maybe I'm bad at multi-tasking, heh :dunno:

well..........just finished the movie. wow, it was really good. i see why heath won his awards. and i ended up choosing the cojo. decided that i didnt' want to concentrate on two good things at once. plus, i only have one mag and still have several cojos! i may do the upmann later when i can devote full attention to it. maybe while i'm pondering how i can mount some kick ass guns on my harley!!!
thanks for all the input!

how does the reg production compare?
Well, regular production is still too young, to begin with. Even so, the regional production truly amazed me and I find it to be very promising. Still, the EL's complexity and strenght, I doubt will be met.
