Well, it's been awhile since I've been able to get back on BOTL, and I know I've got some things to catch up on (Birthday Club and Lottery, I'll get to them asap!), but I finally found a few minutes to announce the arrival of our first child! Our daughter was born five weeks premature (weighing five pounds and three ounces) and has been in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for over a week now. When they are that premature, the instinct to feed is not yet developed, so much of time is spent trying to teach that. And when it doesn't work, they feed her through a feeding tube that goes in her nose and down into her stomach.
Mom is doing great and dad is awfully proud! We hope to get her out of the NICU sometime next week. Here is a picture of our daugher, Autumn:
