This is my favorite rifle. It is ( or was) a 1938 mosin nagant. It has had the barrel cut to 18" and a muzzle brake threaded. It sits in a archangel stock that is bedded with a Timmy trigger at 1 1/2lb pull. A cheap bsa pistol scope ( don't knock it, has never lost zero with over 1000 RDS) and a cheap bipod. Holds 1" groups with factory ammo ( sliver bear 174gr) LOVE this rifle. Had a custom rem700 in 308 but sold it because it never got shot! Lol

I love shooting Nagants... Unfortunately costs are increasing significantly but sub $200 deals can still be had. For as old and cheap as they are, they are incredibly accurate and powerful. We took one out one day and were punching holes in 1/2" steel plates with surplus rounds. Very fun rifle.
