  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

My new bike - hotness!

I used to have an old Bianchi. When biking around on the mountains as a teen one of my friends ran into my back tire and severely bent the wheel. It was a nice bike but it was seriously old tech. I bet it's still at my parents house and all it'd need is a wheel. Hmmm

Nice Bike!

I had a mountain bike in the late 90's but it was stiff as a board and had none of the luxuries todays bikes have(suspension and such). When I first moved down near the beach I had a bike very similar to this one(mine had the chain link steering wheel and some curb finders), man I miss that bike!!

4k:popeyes: , and you are a bike newbie?

Jason
Oh gosh, I didn't PAY the $4000 for it. That's just what it originally cost to build.

It's a 2004 model (build in 2005) and I'm the second owner; the previous owner is the one who built it--and paid all the depreciation on it. LOL

BTW, I've got well over a $1000 in my first bike (my Surly) and that didn't phase me at all.

This one, as it turns out, was even cheaper. :smokingbo

Holy smokes! Is that your driveway?????
No, that's the multiple-use path around White Rock Lake. The road is off to the left towards the water, and the grass to the right is part of the lake side park, where they let the native Texas grasses grow without mowing.

The lake itself is a stop sign and two stop lights away from my house, tho. About 5 minutes by car, maybe 10 minutes by bike.

Wow, a Pinarello--that's awesome. It it one of the late 80s/early 90s models? Mmm...nothing quite like handmade Italian!

You should dig it out, clean it up, tune it up, and ride it!
