  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Just talked on facebook to my son, Sgt with the USMC in the 'Stan. It's his third deployment, and the first time they've taken heavy fire. He just got in from a loop in the field and all is well. It's cold and barren there.

Well, halfway through this deployment. Keep him in your prayers, please.

You can count on that my friend. I pray for my brothers and sisters everyday. Please tell him to try and have a Merry Christmas as well.
Is he a cigar lover too? Would love to send him a little Christmas smackage!

Many thanks bro! He said he could not wait to get home and have a beer and cigar with me. I love that kid! Four years in the Corps and already a Sgt.!

Glad to hear he's okay! My boys are still toddlers and I get nervous just leaving them with a babysitter, so I can't imagine what it must be like to have your son in a hostile land so far away. But you must be very proud, as well! Please pass on our thanks for his service.

Prayers lifted up for him and all the other troops.

My son is deployed to Afghanistan currently (his second deployment). His Humvee rolled over an IED on his first. So far, I have heard from him via e-mail or motomail at least once per month.

Glad to hear he is safe. I will keep him and all my brothers and sisters still serving in my prayers. This is a hard winter in Afghanistan this year. May your son and his fellow Marines keep their heads down, their powder dry and their aim true!
