  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Well on Wednesday I defend my thesis, and I figured today would be a nice day to relax and sit outside and do some reading while I work on my power point just making sure things are nice and concise. Anyways I should have known it was going to be a bad day. I got a nice cut with a palio and then went to do a nice toast with my Tonino Lamborghini Forza Black Carbon Fiber lighter and got a nice toast, when I was going to light it I realized my lighter was out of fluid so I went back into my room and pulled out the long stick habanos matches. I went through the entire box it would spark and then die, the wind just decided it was going to pick up. I was debating just heading back in since the wind picked up and it started getting cold however after toasting a cigar I didn't want to put it back into the humidor. I decided to stay out and eventually got it lit on the last match in the box. Wow! was it worth it, I loved it. I then went to go check the mail and back and was looking over what was in the mail box from Saturday. Still facing the lawn a big gust of wind came by and picked up the patio umbrella and threw it right next to me which started me of course. This is where the slow motion effect came, the Tat fell out of my mouth and I dropped all the mail and tried to catch it, it bounced out of my hand once and if managed to find the only puddle on my patio. It was soaked, no saving this cigar as it was dripping when I picked it. I did manage to get a good 2 inches of good smoking of this awesome cigar though.

Here is a big FU to the wind :angerFU:

Thought I would share my little mishap with you guys and see if any of you have had a oh shit experience with cigars.

Bummer...I hate it whan the happens..

I was organizing the garage one day, and had a Hemminway Best Seller ( I think) it was the long one. Anyway I had gotten about an inch down and it was smoking very nicely. I set it on top of my trash bin, which is the big one with the flip top, that the trucks pick up with the mechanical arm. Well the wife came out and while my back was turned she opened the top of the trash can and let my smoke fall. In her deffense, she didn't see the cigar. Anyway I see her leaving the garage and I reached for my smoke and it was gone. So my eyes turned to the floor, and there it was. it had landed right on the cherry, and it just exploded. 4 or five huge wrapper cracks that ran the length of the stick. I got maybe 3 more draws from it before i decided I needed a new cigar. I would have been way more bummed had it beed a Tat Black.,
