Over the summer my uncle Mark had found out I started smoking pipe. Apparently his brother my uncle Greg who passed a few years back also had smoked pipe for a brief time and Mark ended up with his pipe stuff. Mark doesn't smoke so he brought it all up to me.

There's 3 pipes I don't think they're anything special.
This one looks maybe smokeable, with some work?

This one has a ton of cake in it and the stem looks cruddy.

This one has what I think is a screw in stem? And it's broken off and stuck.

And the tools, a stand and a little booklet

To be honest, I don't ever remember my uncle smoking. It's not something I associate with him so there isn't really any sentimental value behind these. But if anyone knows anything about the pipes or if they're worth salvage somehow I'd appreciate to any info or suggestions.

Thanks.

Lots of great threads on cleaning and restoring. Unless the stem is chewed through, they can be cleaned as well. I just started buying and restoring pipes for collecting purposes (I'm more of a cigar guy). Follow the instructions, take your time, and you'll be fine. The tools you got are enough to get you started. Read the threads.
