Just wanted to share a picture of my other pastimes. this car comes out of the garage mostly only on weekends, but sometimes my 6 year old son begs me to take him to school in it and I can't say no.

Mint!!!

My wife has a fascination with the Bus: always wanted to deck one out... We could have picked up a great one a few years back, but it just wasn't 'practical' at the time... Someday...

Great looking ride! Was that actually a Wolfsburg edition?
I think that was only the later model cars (80's & 90's) that they made the "Wolfsburg editons". This car however was actually built in the original wolfsburg plant. The Wolfsburg crest emblem on the hood was on every beetle built back then.

Nice ride...

I know the the Wolfsburg Editions went as far back as 72, not sure if any farther. Buddy of mine had a 72 super beetle convertible that was Wolfsburg Edition.

I had a 70 super beetle, and a 74 beetle. The 74 was my pride, with a 1776 fed by dual 40mm Dellorto carbs, and ~100hp. I had it set about 2" lower than stock, on EMPI 8 spoke wheels and Pirelli Z rated tires. It was a rocketship.

I only have a 1600 dp. The tranny took a shit on it so I am going to have to call rancho and get a new one. A 2" drop was not enough for this boy. I measured stock then after lowering. I went down about 9" from stock height. We don't have a huge issue with potholes in Florida since freezing ice on the roads just does not happen. Thanks for the info on the Wolfsburg models. I thought that was just a water cooled thing. My ladies jetta is a WB edition tho
