  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Hey am I alone in looking foward to watching this every 4th of july. I know some people find it gross but me i just love the nicknames, crazy personalities, It has become a tradition to watch this every year and think chestnut is going to take it, hope he hits that 78 mark hes aiming for.

The holiday event, which is open to the public and which is sanctioned by the International Federation of Competitive eating, takes place at Nathan's Famous on the corner of Surf and Stillwell avenues in Coney Island, Brooklyn.

Chestnut won because of Kobayashi's contract disputes with Major League Eating. Kobayashi ate 69 hotdogs in Manhattan at the same time just to prove that he could beat chestnut.

Come on now, they needed an american champion because popularity was plummeting, but now its growing cause we have an american champiion. Americans only care about things we are good at, remember aggasi and sampras and tennis was prime time now what yeah it's on but not many people care about it.

Which also explains why I am the only real "soccer" fan around these parts.

By the way, this thread made me crave a hotdog. So much for the summer diet...

Yes, "Futbol," or as I am a Northwest-European-derived American, I would say "Football."

4 unanswered goals IN THE FINAL... don't get me started. It was as if they forgot about the other 10 Mexican players on the field other than Chicharito. And I thought me beloved Newcastle was playing terrible these last few years? Man, that was a dreadful performance. The loss to Panama was bad enough.
