My point was that some people think that everything they read on the internet is true. My analogy was that the Flat Earth Society (which talkes conventional wisdom and proven science and warps it 180 degrees) is a prime example.

Yeah, I really do think making things like what is posted is just too easy. It could be real or it could be fake. People just want to make something viral.
