Need info from cigar cabinet humidor owners...

Still curious if anyone has loaded a un-seasoned cabinet.....?
Yes. There is a 90% chance that the cabinet will soak up every drop of moisture from the cigars, and that's a lot of cigars gone to shit. I was also unpatient with one of my first desktops, and it was never any fun to a) get the sticks back up to humidity and b) recognize the fact that I ignored everything everyone said was going to happen and have to wait another week to properly season the humidor.
I like to wait until I'm sitting comfortably in the mid-to high-70's and then dump the sticks in. It's really easy to be impatient when seasoning a humidor, but (at least in my case) I'd rather wait a week than ruin thousands of dollars in cigars.

Don't the people at Cigar Oasis say that their unit can humidify a cabinet within 24 hours? Anyway I'm guessing if you put the cigars in their original boxes in the cabinet it probably will not soak up as much humidity from them as it would from loose sticks (a wild wild guess) would make an interesting experiment though.

i got the verona, big enough for me(for now, hehe) and priced right. quality is actually way better then i expected, seals great.

and its going good, by the first night it was stable at 69. so loaded half my stuff, stayed at 68. so day later(today) loaded the rest.....think it will be ok. so far so good.
