  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Need wine help....

I need to study up on wines and not just the basic stuff, that I know. So I am looking for a comprehensive collection of information online. I am not going to buy a book, so a website is what I need. I know there a few of you who are way into wine so please help. T.I.A

I recently learned that it`s necessary to unscrew the cap before you sniff it.
(I`m really getting into the advanced stuff now)

You need to talk to Pete and Angry. They seem to be up on the wines. Especially Pete.

Dave a good friend of mine that I grew up with is married to this lady who is pretty well known and she has a blog site on wine and she has a few other interesting tid bits that can really help you... her blog is http://whatwouldalpanadrink.blogspot.com/

I do know when I was talking to him last time they very rarely spend more than $12 on a bottle.

I think Ted will be most helpful too. I've read a forum called VinoCellar forme questions.

What do you consider "basic stuff" and "comprehensive collection of information"?
If you need to study ... why not buy some books?

There are hundreds of good wine forums and blogs, but if you want a one-stop place for info, you will probably need to pay for it.
Either that or spend lots of time asking questions and reading various websites.
