So CI has these on today for $39.99 a box, in the rosado and the oscuro.

Any opinions on these babies? Are they worth pullin' the trigger on?

I mean, at $40 they're practically the price of a sampler, but for a whole box. I may jump on them.

Umm... I'm not a fan. I generally think quality over quantity. At $2, I'd probably go with the Gran Habano Vintage 2002.

Perhaps even the J. Fuego Origen Originals at some decent bulk pricing.

I thought it was ok. Construction was a bit rough, but some nice flavors. Not sure I'd want 20 though. I had the rosado.

Short or mixed filler I think. Has the rosado. Big MEH. Much rather pay a little more for fewer cigars, or like Charlie said... Origen Originals all the way!

Ah, after doing a little more research, I found that these are short filler cigars?

Not that there's no such thing as a good short filler stick, but eh...

Are Nestor Miranda cigars in general pretty "meh"?

Or is it just this one?

I've been interested in the Art Deco for some time now.

Nah, the NM Special Selection is a great cigar. Pepin made, great tobacco, etc. Enjoy it in both wrappers even. I also like the Art Deco.

Are there any distinct characteristics of a rosado wrapper?

I'm trying to decide between the SS rosado and oscuro...

The rosado to my palate has a great nutty taste and a creamy quality. The SS rosado is just a great flavorful, mellow smoke. Quite complex. Never had the oscuro, have been meaning to pick one up to compare.
