Xikar was my first cutter, and now that I have a Palio, I know they will be my last one. The Xikar was usable, but always left a ridge on the cuts. The Palio is a lot easier to aim, as mentioned above, and get exactly the cut you want. It also acts as a great cigar rest. Hand a newbie a Xikar and you have to explain to them how to use it. Hand them a Palio and they just go straight to thanking you for how awesome the cut is. The Xikar multi tool, is fun, but I only really tend to use it on torpedos as it feels awkward cutting a large ring gauge. I really enjoyed the Xikar V cutter for about 8 months, then it started to rip my cigars instead of cutting them.
The Palio and Xikar MTX stay in the RV with me.
The Cuban Crafters perfect cut (Drew Estates edition) is in the truck for quick cuts while driving
The Xikar tear drop is lost somewhere at the house.
