Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

^^^^^this^^^^ just bought one and love it!Palio palio palio. Got one for Christmas and it's BY FAR the best cutter I've ever used.
This. All of this.Ive gotta ask....
why pay $8 for a generic plastic guillotine cutter... (plus shipping).... like the one linked..
when a metal two blade cutter or reasonable manufacture (the colibri) can be had for $7 (plus shipping)?
Not saying that a plastic cutter wont get the job done...
but...
Also.. where are you hearing that XiKar is overrated? Not arguing the possibility.. so much as wondering who feels that way.. I think you would find plenty of people that will argue the merits of palio over XiKar.. or XiKar over Palio, etc.. but I have never heard anyone say the XiKar was not a top quality product.. with an excellent warranty, outstanding customer service, etc..
I do the same.I'm gonna be honest about 90% of the time I use my personal pocket knife. Just keep it very sharp and you can cut around the cap and it pops right off. Plus I always have it on me.
$20 for a palio? ffffffff. I'd buy 5 and keep one in every piece of luggage I own.
Nothing wrong with a $3 cutter if its getting the job done...You guys are gonna laugh but the only cutters I seriously have are 2 of those Super cheap black ops lighters I got off cbid for 3 bucks when I ordered my first cigars. I should really upgrade ha
No kidding right?!$20 for a palio? ffffffff. I'd buy 5 and keep one in every piece of luggage I own.
Yea, I keep a Ronson jetlite and a soft flame in all my work jackets. Nothings worse than cutting a cigar and not having something to light it withI keep a carbon-fiber Xikar ZX in each of my travel herf-a-dors... they only run $26 on cbid. It's worth it to always have a super-sharp, reliable cutter on hand. I keep a Ronson JetLite and a Cuban Crafters Perfect cutter in my car at all times.
I don't travel much, but when I do, I take the CC and the Ronson. Cheap, reliable... and replaceable.
I like the Palio, but prefer the Xikar.Well glad this thread popped up. Haven't been able to find either of my xikars in a few days.guess I'll try grab a Palio next time I go on shopping spree since everyone seems so find of them.
I had, have a xikar room 101 and a xi 2 I love them dearly. Haven't been able to find the room 101 one in like a week and the xi2 since last night. Fml. They will probably turn up. They usually do. But until then I don't have anything but a punch or my knife lol. So now I get to go buy a Palio! That cao one looks like it will do the job!I like the Palio, but prefer the Xikar.Well glad this thread popped up.
