Please make a list of the cigars you smoke and post it. I'd like to make sure I avoid the vast majority of the first group in the list.

Thankful I haven't had very many terrible cigars, I too wish to avoid those flavors. I did struggle through a bourbon once that had tasting notes of battery acid and industrial solvent...
Good idea though, I can actually imagine most of those being applicable. And it's good to have the reference.

I don't doubt it all. Just from the few bad ones I've had (ghurka, macanudo, patel) I can definitely flavors such as those coming in to play.
In fact you should add pool water, and vague chemicals or nail Polish..

No dude, you might THINK those are the flavors but how do you KNOW that unless you've actually tasted the real thing?

Scent. More than half of taste is smell. That's why we can reference oak and cedar, though most of us have never chewed on a boat oar or clothing chest.
That is true - and I agree with you. I always say, "This tastes like the smell of cedar". Seems a bit more accurate. :)
