Anybody got a take on the "new" line of Guapos (RX, 46 and Junior) versus the original Guapo? I'm a big fan of the orgininal, but my supply is running low and the originals are getting hard to find. Wondering if any of the newer ones are in the same league....

thanks,
greg

Well I can tell you I love the Juniors. I cannot compare them to the ORs. I haven't had one and as many times as I almost bought a box I didn't. Depending on how many you got left I'll trade you a few Juniors for some OR so you can figure it out. Say 3 of yours for 5 of mine.

Unfortunately, I think my stock is too low for even that kind of trade! I'll double check it tonight. Anyone had the Guapo RX or 46?

thanks,
greg

Never had the Rx but I like the 46 so much more than the old school guapo. I like to call first guapo the O.G. (original guapo). The juniors have been amazing as well. To me the O.G. was inconsistant, somtimes lacking the awesome guapo taste. The new ones always have the tasty guapo goodness. I dont always care for big rings either so the 46 and the jr sizes are a dream come true.

i've liked both the new and the old. The recognizeable "guapo" flavor is recognizeable in both...if that makes any sense.

I have a box of the RX and they are fantastic even when compared to the original. I read that the RX are the same blend that was used to make the WCD 120

WCD 120 (4 5/8" x 42) ..... MSRP = $7.70 x 12 per box = $92.40

MSRP does not include state sales tax, nor state tobacco tax, the latter of which can be quite significant.

"WCD" stands for W. Curtis Draper's, a cigar shop in Washington, DC that celebrated its 120th anniversary in 2007. These special Cabaiguan vitolas were created exclusively for this shop; originally intended to be 120 boxes of 12, but there ended up being a production run of 150 boxes of 12.

The WCD 120's are slightly more spicy upfront than your typical Cabaiguan, but mellow into the typical smooth creamy Cabaiguan profile later on in the smoke. These little cigars sport a pigtail cap to round out the presentation.

Guapo 46 is a fantastic smoke. Same with the RX and Junior. Covet your Cabby OG's, as they are no longer in production according to Pete.
