Spent close to 3 years in Augsburg while in the Army. Best vacation I have ever had to date. Between skiing in the Alps and going to the local beerfest as well as the big one in Munich what a blast.

Funny you should mention settling in Wisconsin. My German side of the family stopped for and settled in the late 1850s but some moved in the middle 1860s to Minnesota. I still have distant relatives in Germany and Wisconsin. If we didn't pick on the Cheeseheads who would we pick on
