New Humidor

Enjoying my new humidor especially with the humidity gauge outside for quick read. Don't know if I want to continue using the solution with the hydro sticks along with bottom tray of gel. My old just had a tube of gel and I added water to it every so often and worked fine. Would it be ok to just go back to tube?

I suggest you get a few Boveda 65% packs and call it good. Did you season your new humidor?

Lose all that and get yourself some boveda packs. They’re the best IMO.

I would also make sure to calibrate your gauge using boveda. If it is analogue I would back it up with a digital. Analogue meters are notoriously inaccurate.

If it the type you can calibrate, do it. If it is not still put it in a bag with a boveda and see if it is accurate. If mine are off, I mark them so I know how much they are off.
