  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I danced with the devil and came out with 2 boxes (and a 5'er) of La Aurora 1495 #4 wrapped in a 1994 Cameroon wrapper. They come in a plain box of ten.

They smoke really really well right out of the box but haven't heard squat about these until a week ago when I saw them on cbid.

Hopefully someone heard about these before at the RTDA.

I tried them, I really like them. They had a couple left at a shop in CT i stopped by a while back, I bought the last three, and had them, i think you will enjoy them. If you got a bunch and want to trade some, i am all ears.
the ones I had burnt pretty slow, it looked like they might canoe once or twice, but they fixed quickly and never went out. (one of them i had to relight once).
it had a bunch of flavor even for my amateur pallate, they burn a little hot I thought, which might be why i smoked even slower than my norm, but not as hot as the 100 anos i had.
anyway, enjoy, i think you made a good choice.

I'm still watching for more of them to pop up on CBid. I plunked down $64/box for 10 without trying them...but there was one that ends in a few minutes that i might grab...if it's cheaper than what I paid out last time:thumbsup:

opps...just missed it too. They went for $58/box.

DAMMIT!

I'm going to try and hold onto the 2 boxes I have for atleast a week or so...they are kind of good:smokingbo

what if you want everything? i can't... i don't have self restraint... im better off limiting myself to one 2 boxes a month, and not window shopping too often.

I really like the 1495 line with the original wrapper on it... especially the smaller vitola. I guess its a petit corona, but it seems a bit bigger than an average pc, but smaller than a corona... aw sh!t, you get what I'm saying. Great blend though. Love finding these in the half off bins at the B&M!

dang... these look like I may have to take the plunge. Although I spent my cigar allowance on HumidiPaks for the humi's.

It is a very pleasant cigar. The set of 45's was premiered in a chest marketed as the "King of the Jungle" set.

The concept of King of the Jungle:
Wrap the same cigar is various wrappers to explain (and promote) to consumers the differences a wrapper can make. You will find this same cigar in Corojo, Cameroon, Sumatra, Connecticut and Ecuador wrappers. All are different, and the Corojo happens to be my favorite. I'm having trouble finding a picture to show, but if I stop by David's and she still has the box, I'll upload one.
