Out of nowhere last night I just felt like buying this and a new amp. Nothing fancy, I got a blemished model so it might be dinged or slightly used but it saved me $40:

The jags are cool. What kind of amp?

Can you play, or are you just playing?
My dad teaches guitar on the side and I used to play regularly in high school. Wanted to pick it up again and thought a new electric (my tele isn't as exciting anymore) would be the thing.

The amp I'm getting is this one: http://www.voxamps.co.uk/products/valvetronix/ad15vtad30vt.htm 30W model. I liked the sound clips how it sounded and it mimics different amps but also has tubes in it unlike the Line 6 products. :ballbounc

Good for you Joshua, go for it. I sold all my equipment when I thought I lost interest and didn't play for 25 years. I essentially "garage saled" a beautiful candy apple red Epiphone hollow body and a Fender tube amp; the buyer was one happy dude. My interest came back as my kids started to play musical instruments, and today, I'm a nut again. I'll probably never play a gig again, but just being able to make music that is at least beautiful to my ear is very gratifying.

Enjoy your new axe!!!!

Tubes are the way to go! But you know that. That's a nice amp. 11 models, pretty cool.

I have a strat, :guitar: and a 30 watt fender amp, no tubes though. :shame:

I've been getting into trad Irish fiddle lately.

I currently have a little like 15W peavey amp that sounds like dog turds so I had to get something with tubes and the fact that it can sound like different amps is a bonus.
I have a telecaster, a martin accoustic and a nylon string, but I haven't been into playing those lately.

I hope to find some people who can play and start something up, but at least I can jam by myself for the time being (not quite as fun though).
I don't think I could play an entire song right now, I remember the basics but its been a while so if someone says "play me something" I would end up just making up stuff. hah

I played for a while back in high school.

I've got a sunburst stratocaster that I used to spend hours on...haven;t played in a few years unfortunately...may need to save my axe from my parents house!

Cool

I've always thought it would be cool to be able to play and I really envy folks that can play things just by listening to them.
