I was just wondering what you guys think about the NFL pre-season? Does it get you excited enough to watch the games? Do you think they should shorten it and add an extra game to the regular season instead? Or do you enjoy the pre-season and watching the players battle to make the team?

Now that I have posted this poll. I got a feeling how it is going to turn out. But I may be wrong.

Being a Seahawks season ticket holder. I enjoy watching and reading about the pre-season. But I don't enjoy paying full price for pre-season games. Watching the starters only play a couple of series and by the 4th qtr. Half of the guys you are watching will probably not make the team.

I know that it has been mentioned. But I hope they shorten the pre-season by a week and extend the NFL season to 17 weeks. I think after the training camps and 3 weeks of pre-season. The teams know who they want to keep and cut. Plus there is less of a chance of your regular starters to get hurt in a meaninless game.

I think you will see them shorten the preseason to 2 or 3, and extend the regular season to 18 games. They will not go to 17 unless they come up with a way to play the extra game at a neutral site (which I don' think is going to happen).

I agree with shortening the preseason to 2 games. Football is way to violent a sport to be wrecking your star players' bodies for no reason. Every year there are a few season ending injuries in the preseason. It's a waste and also the biggest travesty in sports that you have to pay full NFL ticket prices to go see the games. JMHO.

think it would be awesome if they had one week at a neutral site! would give fans who arent near an NFL team a chance to try and make it to a game. get to watch plenty myself, season ticket holder for the Cardinals

To all of you that love the preseason, and use it as a way to judge how your teams will fair this year, just remember the only team to go undefeated during the preseason last year was DETROIT!!

I thought it might have been a copy / paste thing.

Anyhow, If Lions are plural for Lion, wouldn't Linos be plural for "Lino" ?? :dunno:

Hence, "What's a Lino" ?? :headroll:

:grinFU:
It realy doesn't matter the Linos (or Lino) won as many regular season games as the Lions.:nodlaugh:

A nutural site for 1 game would be interesting. While I'm not wild about the idea. The NFL would like to expand it's league outside the US. IMO this would give them the perfect opertunity to test that out. Before they decide too.

That said I would prefer 2 weeks of pre-season and adding an extra home and away game.
