Sad to say I may not have a cigar and at least expensive alcohol budget for the near future. My wife most likely will be staying home with the kids for a while so will be on a single income. It's awesome and stressful at the same time. I'm so happy she will get to spend more time with them and keep them out of daycare but we will be on a tight budget just to minimize the amount we will be in the red each month. We have already trimmed som fat and cut our bills down about as much as we can but we are still going to have to work hard to minimize the loss. Luckily we have plenty saved so we will be fine. Needless to say though won't be buying cigars other than maybe the occasional 1 or 2 that I can get away with from the B&M and going the more budget route where alcohol is concerned. I have enough cigar inventory that I can manage especially since I typically only smoke 1-2 a week. It's definitely hard to cut back when you've been accustomed to a certain lifestyle.
This all comes on the heels of me getting converted to a federal employee from a contractor and will finally have decent benefits for the fist time in 3 years.
