Notre Dame Cathedral on Fire

It's a sad day. Notre Dame is burning down to the ground. The spire already collapsed. it has been there since the 15th century. Luckily a bunch of statues had been removed a few days before for renovation. All that artwork, architecture, and culture up in flames. One of the only reasons I ever wanted to visit Paris.

That is very sad !! I got to see Notre Dame when visiting Paris for New Years back in the 80's . Very cool and so much too see with all of the different gargoyles surround the church.

Pretty horrible. I’m supposed to go to Paris in May. I almost want to skip the area with this and the yellow vest drama. Plus you never know when there will be a dang strike on rails, lorries, etc.

That’s France for you but a serious shame about the cathedral.

Yeah, what a terrible tragedy. Just learned construction started in 1163 and took nearly 200 years to complete.
