I believe it's a Glock 18. God bless Form 3.

Somebody on a gun board who was familiar with the video thought that it might be a converted G17...something about the location of the selector switch.

I hadn't heard of FMG Glocks and certainly wouldn't have thought that any were ever imported into the US. Apparently there's a couple of transferable ones floating around out there.

There are a few floating indeed. As to the model, I'm not real familiar with Glocks, so they are probably right..

I'm not sure what you would use it for but, it would get some attention at the firing range. Then they would ask you to leave.
Unless the firearm was of obviously unlawful manufacture, I seriously doubt they'd be asked to leave my local range. We have a very enthusiastic machine gun users group out there. Almost anything from SMG to crew-served shows up out there so I don't many would bat an eyelash at a macine pistol...unless it was to say "cool!" and jockey for a turn at the trigger.

Yeah, but you are in Alaska, in Orange County CA there would be a SWAT team called in as soon as you pulled the trigger on that puppy.

...which is just one of the reasons I don't live in Orange County CA. And there are a dozen other reasons in the gun safe. Fine folks like you notwithstanding, I just don't get a warm fuzzy feeling of welcome from your locale.

There are lots of people who don't get the "warm fuzzy" feeling here. A ton of snobs too worried with keeping up with the nieghbors. We really define the plastic personality. However if you find the right/real people it can be a great place to live. After all, people do save all year to vacation here for a week. I do miss my guns though.

We've got a curious mix in and around Anchorage. We've got the snobs who'd like to turn us into another Seattle (or worse)...and then we've got folks with rough edges you couldn't smooth with a belt sander. I know what it's like to live in a vacation destination, of course. We get the annual visitors like you do, plus folks who make it the trip of a lifetime. But still, The Wife® and I have Cali wine country high on our vacation wish list.

If memory serves correctly, and it seldom does, the fully auto actions are an after market mod available in certain areas in South America. All however were post '83 and are highly illegal in the US unless part of law enforcement or military. Goes through a boat load of ammo though.
