  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I hope the part they didn't roll tasted better :shame:

Picked up a few last week and smoked one on the drive home. This cigar was harsh fro the start to the "nub". Reminded me of the Perdomo's I used to smoke 5-6 years ago. Have one more and will try it in a few weeks. Hopefully it will be better.

What Perdomo's do you speak of. I used to buy a lot of Perdomo's stuff 5-6 years ago.

Now about that nub I will give the cameroon a try but I didn't particularly like the habano. So I think I'll order 2-3 of each to give them another fair eval.

I had the connecticut one to give these a try and it was better than I expected. The shop owner said that was his favorite one. It wasn't too harsh, and plenty of flavor while being smooth. Really liked it.

I have trouble paying good money for a third of a cigar. But that is just me.

The second one I bought is a Connecticut. I'll give it a try tomorrow night on the ride home.

You know this whole concept of "get the sweetness of the nub without smoking the whole cigar" just doesn't work out. Its like trying to bake the muffin top only when everyone knows you have to bake the whole muffin then "pop the top". Just my .02 cents...

added - after reading that last post I realize that my analogy doesn't make the best sense... buy you get it. You have to smoke the whole cigar to experience that "Damn, I don't want to put this nub down" effect.

Anything that they had a JR's. They must have been bad enough that I can't recall the names of them, and neither JR's nor Perdomo have any of the old stuff listed on their sites. I did receive a Perdomo Sampler from C-bid this week.

I had my first the other day, it was not bad but it was just mild to me. I had it as my first cigar of the day before Lunch. It was ok for a first smoke mid day, but I do not think I will be picking more up, I have other milder smokes that i usu go for in the am.

Smoked the Connecticut on Thursday evening. No harshness. I liked better than the Camerroon, but not my cup of tea. Construction and burn were great but I guess does not match my flavor profile.
