OK,
so this is a review of an old favorite for Dbugmans contest.
Nub CT 460
Wrapper: CT
Binder - Nic
Filler - Nic
Prelight:
Cigar has a couple prominent veins that arent raised at all.
seems are fairly invisible.
Cap clips off evenly - my backup cutter has trouble with the big RG.
I cut this on the drive home and had a long time to cold draw on it before getting home.
Smooth tobacco almost airy on the cold draws.
Light;
Takes a while to light in the cold cold weather.
1st few puffs are fairly smooth nothing too exciting.
After about 1/4 inch the cigar really relaxes out and becomes smooth as silk.
Nothing harsh w\ some smooth creamy flavors.
The good thing about nub is they are very consistent.
The bad thing about nub is that if that flavor isnt to your liking its not going to get any better. This used to be one of my favorites. Now I like them, but wouldnt go to crazy out of my way to buy them.
Lucky for me I like the nub CT. So its a smooth and creamy/buttery smoke.
But its not complex at all, so those are pretty much the flavors throughout the length of the cigar.
About 3/4 way the cigar gets a little harsh (as Im puffing too fast)... and Im getting a little cold.... so I chuck it.
Nice fun cigar - smoked for about 40 minutes.
Ill have a few more reviews for Dbugmans contest between today and this weekend.
