NY B&M Owners Taking the Fight Viral

My spouse is from NY and one of the shops I frequent when we are there as a decent online shop. A couple of years back I stopped in to pick up some Padron's for a wedding and the shop owner tells me that he cannot sell me the cigars at the online price once I walked into the store.

He goes on to tell me about how the NY Tobacco tax laws work and I was shocked to say the least. Much like California, the poor B&M owner has to scratch and claw for margins. This should not be.

Kudos for these guys not taking in on the chin without some resistance.

It's ugly here! A couple of young entrepeneurs opened a nice little shop nearby a couple of years ago but were forced out of business by the spiraling costs - i.e. taxes. It's a shame.

Yeah its crazy here. Hopefully we can get that cap set up. I love it when people from out of the state come in and look at our prices. Their jaw drop right to the floor.
