Odd Cigar Rituals

So last year, my old boss (who got fired) bought me a box sampler of cigars from JR. Not great smokes but very good presentation. He taught me a lot before he left so I had one cigar last year and plan to have one cigar until the entire box is gone. I believe it is a box of 11 now.

Anyone do anything like this for Christmas or a birthday or special event?

I've heard of people buying 50 cabs on their 50th birthday and smoking one each birthday till they reach 100.

Very cool idea, if you ask me.

That is a cool idea. I should do that with a 25 count in March

Now the question is what kind

I think I may start too, though I'm at a weird age, being 36.

However, it would be nice smoking a 14 year old Cohiba on my 50th!

I have a box of Upmann Regalias from October 94, which is when I was married. I smoke one out of that box on my anniversary each year. I have other boxes of Regalias from 94, but that one is set aside for this purpose.

On a side note, these are a really good machine made that can still be found if you do some digging.

I had considered doing this on each kids birthday...buying a box with a code of their birth month and year...and smoking one each year until they were 18 and gifting them an 18 year old fiver.

Never did buy the box though.
