Just decided to pack a bowl and kinda brushed across some older tins I had put back. Do they increase in value?

The tin that rolled out on me was a brand new Dunhill Nightcap with May 06 written on the bottom.
Lets crack it open!!!! In true BOTL fashion

so, now that i'm outside of the giveaway range, and to your question; aged tins are worth what people are willing to pay. if it is a limited, it's worth more. if it is hard to find fresh (like ANYTHING germaine right now), it is worth a lot more. if it is from an older blending house, and has switched to a new prodecer, it can be worth more, dependent on what the blend is, and was, and who now makes it versus who used to make it. it's really not much different that secondary market on cigars; if you had to fight to get it the first time, you can expect to get more on the back end. the only added differential is the possibility of changes in blending houses. but the secondary market gives me headaches, and i try to never f#@k with it.

more importantly, it is cool that you get to sample more aged leaf, and also VERY cool that you are cutting some guys in on a slice of it. well done. o)
