  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I need some opinions on this...How much is too much to pay for an Opus X BBMF Maduro.

I've seen the pictures and they look fabulous.

How much wouldyou pay for one if it were available.

Is it crazy to pay a ton for somehting you may never smoke, just keep?

value is in the eye of the collector. Personally I think for a cigar to fulfill it's purpose in life that they should all be smoked. I hoarded my Padrons and OPUS saying I wanted to keep them, because I didn't want to afford the cost of replaceing them. Bollocks to that. Someone put alot of time and effort into making sure that cigar got to your humi. And for one reason only....for you to smoke it. I do still save my GOOD smokes for a special occasion, but to say I'll never smoke it, no way, I plan to smoke every stick I have. I may be dead tomorrow and then what? My cousin comes over and sells em all on craigs list.

Absolutely, 100% correct!

I don't know what the going price for these cigars is, I don't follow them. However, after the first couple years, the OpusX's were not nearly as good as the original release. They went for strength and not flavor imo. I wouldn't buy them to smoke, others do. it's all in the eye of the beholder so to speak.

First of all try to find one, then if you have to ask the price, don't bother. They won't come cheap.
Well, i found one. and i don't think it's going to come cheap either. I'm just debating over forking out what will probably be in excess of $100. That's a lot of cash, or in other terms, that's 10 tat zonas, or 10 cojonus, or 8 opus lanceros, or 12 oliva v torps, or a ton of other sticks.

It is worth whatever you are willing to pay for it.

Most people who have them buy them either at a charity auction or in the Opus 22 box (also a "charity" thing). Therefore you can justify purchasing them becuase you would have donated the money to the organization anyways.

Personally I would say the going rate is probably between $50-75 a stick. I wouldn't pay it but if I was going to donate a couple hundred to CFCF I might buy that and consider it my donation.

OK, i suppose i'll wait til i go to the CFCF in a few years to get mine.

I can't justify buying one cigar when i can get 10 really good ones for the same price.

It is a good cigar to have in your collection. I paid $75 for mine. I just need to find the right excuse to smoke it!!!
